TOWN OF WYOCENA 2025 NEWSLETTER

 

Tax Collection Update                                                                                 

Payment Due Dates:             1st Installment or Paid in Full:  January 31, 2026

2nd Installment (PAID TO COUNTY):  July 31, 2026

Options for Payments:

  • Mail – if you want a receipt, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
  • Pay in Person at the Town Hall (see website for updated tax collection dates)
  • December 27, 2025 from Noon to 4 p.m.
  • January 24, 2026 from Noon to 4 p.m.
  • January 31, 2026 from 9am to 3 pm
  • Drop Box – the Town Hall was a bank at one time and the drop box is still operational. It is located on the east side of the building and drops directly into a safe.  It is available to you at all times.

 

If your payment is made by your mortgage company and you want to print off a receipt the instructions on how to do this online are on the Town of Wyocena’s webpage at townofwyocena.com under “Frequently Asked Questions”.

Please do not add a dog license fee into your tax check amount – please make out a separate check for that amount!  THANK YOU!

COLLECTION SITE - RULES

ACCEPTED ITEMS:

  • HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE ONLY: Garbage generated from the home LOCATED on the property within the Township.
  • HOUSEHOLD ONLY RECYCLING: Recycling generated from the home LOCATED on the property within the Township.
  • RECYCLED ITEMS: Aluminum cans, scrap metal.
  • BRUSH & LIMBS: Limbs or trunks size 4” maximum. Anything over 4” will not be accepted.  NOT for entire tree removal or professional services disposal. NO LEAVES OR GARDEN WASTE

ITEMS NOT ALLOWED AT SITE:

  • CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS – PLASTER, LATHE, WINDOWS, SIDING & OTHER MATERIALS
  • FURNITURE, MATTRESS/BOX SPRING, SINKS, BOOKCASES OR OTHER MATERIALS
  • ANTI-FREEZE / OIL DISPOSAL / BATTERIES
  • DEMOLITION MATERIALS OTHER THAN LISTED ABOVE
  • FLORESCENT BULBS, BATTERIES OF ANY SIZE
  • TIRES
  • COMPUTERS, TELEVISIONS OR OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES

TAGS:  1st tag is free to resident of Wyocena/Replacement tag $10 fee

 

DOG LICENSES

Please license any dog over 6 months of age that has had a rabies vaccination.  Proof of the vaccination from your vet will be required to license your dog.  If your dog is licensed and the rabies shot has not yet expired there is no need to provide the documentation again.   Reminder:  Pay with separate check from tax payments.

License fees remain the same $5.00 for spayed or neutered and $10 if not and a $35 kennel fee.  If you mail yours in, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope!  Thank you!!

 

PROPERTY UPDATE FROM COLUMBIA COUNTY – FRAUD PREVENTION

Property Fraud Alert is an online subscription service offered to the public that allows them to have their name monitored within the Columbia County Register of Deed’s office in order to track possible fraudulent recordings that affect their property.  Property Fraud Alert is a FREE service that will notify you via phone or email if a document is recorded at the Columbia County Register of Deed’s office under your name.

Property Fraud Alert is now available by subscription on the web at www.propertyfraudalert.com/Columbia or by calling (800)728-3858.  The Property Fraud Alert link is also available from the Columbia County website.
